Fleur des Lis Cape

Every shop assistant were allowed to make a velvet cape lined with polyester for the show.

The challenge with this garment was stabilizing the velvet and the polyester together so they didn't shift upon sewing.

Rochefort Vinyl Studded Doublet

I was entrusted to create a vinyl and silk lined 1600's Doublet. The pattern was pre-made for me, it was my duty to select the appropriate lining and to cut out and stitch the garment together.

As apart of my Independent Study course my assignment was to teach me about properly studding a garment.

The challenge with this was piercing and installing the studs into the thick vinyl. I ended up having to use an awl to poke holes and then push the prongs into the doublet. While also being sure not shift the lining as to not pucker the garment.

Bum Rolls

As apart of my independent study in costume crafting I was instructed to create bum rolls.

Skirt

I was instructed to stitch a skirt by taking two rectangles and stitching the vertical seams and installing a 1 1/2" elastic waistband.
